Back in 1992, while working
as a computer programmer for John Deere I
received a call from the FS of Local 865.
My wife and I played in a local band and many
times performed in many UAW Local Halls. A
fellow by the name of George called me and asked
me to stop by and talk.

Local Union Hall East Moline, IL
He showed me a slip of paper that had several
names on it and all were crossed off but mine.
He was frustrated with his existing software and
was looking for a better way to handle the UAW
Financial process. So I talked to the
company hew was using and they were less than
friendly. Finally, he asked if I would
design something for them. After some
discussion, I agreed as long as they would get
together with some other Locals to join in and
agree to meet on a regular basis to assist in
designing exactly what they needed.
Well, after 18-months, we
finished the financial software. RCS got
started by a need! We combined forces with
these Local Union Officers to develop a product
specifically for Unions. I thought my job
was done and then my phone began ringing.

Other Locals had heard what
these folks were using and now here we are 15
years later . . . there are seven of us now with
RCS!
RCS Staff today - Vicki, Terry, Keri, Ken, Jenny, Patty, Mitzi
We have kept the same goals
as back then - design and support software
specifically around the policies of Trade
Unions. Today we have Locals that range in
size of 23 members to over 12,000.
We remain the only software
supplier whose primary focus is Union Locals.
Focusing on unions allows us to provide you with
services that no one else can provide.
That I can promise you. For 15-years, RCS
has followed the high Union standards and
policies. We look to their direction.
We firmly believe it is in your best interest
for us to do so. The job of our software
is to automate the manual steps and reduce your
potential errors. So we followed this path
when we designed the LM process as well.
